Another day, and I am exhausted. Let me say this: I am SO glad I only have two days like these a week.
Rode the Sardine Express this morning. The first bus was supposed to come by around 7:05. Instead, it sped by around 7:15, packed, with 'another bus follows' on the top marquee. About five minutes later, a second bus went by, blaring the same message. By this time, about twenty people were crowded at the bus stop, and it was growing later and later. Finally, I managed to mosh my way onto the third bus, which actually had room, and we were off. I've decided to drive instead. So, I organized a carpool with two other girls who live in the apartment complex across the street. I'll try to find two more people, just because I'm sure they'd rather get to campus more quickly.
Class was long. Music was a joke, really. She made us sing that scale song from 'the sound of music', and demonstrated scales she said were in the key of C, but they were actually in the key of B flat. I can tell. I have, if not perfect pitch, pretty darn good pitch. Anthropology was all right. We talked about evolution and the different theories and people associated with it. Shakespeare was pretty fun. I really like the professor. He went up into the seats and sat randomly, to demonstrate... something, I can't remember. Then came the long wait until Naut Arch. I typed up my notes and did more homework (I'm done with homework and notes for the week now), and then got really, REALLY bored. So I was going to go to Scoates hall to wait it out, but I ran into one of the girls who'll be in my carpool. So we talked for a bit, and then we ended up at the poster sale by Sbisa. They had a lot of posters that I liked, they even had a poster for Jim Henson's Labyrinth. I wanted to get it, but I was afraid they'd think I was a dork. So I didn't. I might tomorrow, though. Naut Arch was fun. I have a feeling it always will be.
And then the moshing began again.
I got out of Scoates, and thought 'hmm, there sure are a lot of people around. They're probably going to disperse off to the parking lots and such.' But they didn't. They kept going the same way I was going. And they ALL went to the bus stop I needed. I am not exaggerating, there were at least a hundred people there. And the buses weren't coming. And more people were coming. Finally, a bus stopped, and everyone crowded around it like zombies around an organ donor clinic. I even texted Kai asking her to give me a lift, but then another bus got there, and I moshed my way onto it. I was listening to some pretty intense music at the time, and there were people all the way to the curb, looking at us as we drove away. It made me think that the campus was some horrible disaster site, and the buses were evacuating people away. But that was just me daydreaming. I think of a lot of strange things. I remember walking through my high school and pretending everything was underwater. That was trippy.
But now, I'm home, and I'm dead on my feet. I'm expecting Daddy to call tonight, so I'll wait up for that, but as soon as he does, I'm going to bed.
