Despite the fact that I have nothing to do today, I woke up at the ungodly hour of 7 to take the dogs out for their morning potty-break. Kai woke up a bit later. Today we needed to go to a few places, like the grocery store and petco and such, to get groceries and other various items. So we did. Got so much groceries we couldn’t fit them in the tiny cabinets. Luckily, I had a shelving… thing… that I put together while Kai (bless her) unloaded the groceries. We then went out to Rosie’s Pho, a place that I had been trying to take Kai to since the end of last semester. Lovely, lovely lunch. It made me quite happy.
Kai decided to bake something today. I decided to take a nap. I think it worked out quite nicely.
Around three, we went to Cold Stone to meet with two of Kai’s dorm buddies, Chelsea and Bridget. I don’t know them all that well, but they’re both incredibly nice, and I would very much like to hang out with them more often.
Oh, and I realized something quite depressing: There is a lot of take-out food in the fridge… and no microwave. Yes, you read that correctly, sports fans. NO. MICROWAVE. Luckily, as a college student who eats anything, broccoli beef is actually quite tasty when it’s cold. Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it. Trust me.
Toby seems to have forgiven me now. Last night, his favorite rope toy fell apart, and was strewn all across the living room. I had to throw it away, and as I did so, he looked at the garbage bag, looked at me, and then his tail stopped wagging. The little twit’s been sulking all day, even though I’ve bought him an entirely NEW rope toy that’s even better than his old one. But now, as I sit and type with a Styrofoam container of take-out by my side, he’s quite friendly again. Twit.
