It's gotten to the point where I'm talking to myself.
I went out to dinner with Kai last night (Chili's... I got crayons and made a steampunk pepper and donated to childhood cancer research) and she laughed at how I've gone crazy from not seeing people. I mean, I've SEEN people, you know, like a neighbor jogging down the other side of the street or something, but that doesn't really count. I've been talking to Toby and Sophie for company, but they never talk back, obviously. My kitchen appliances don't reply, either.
And then there's the matter of my melodramatic houseplant.
Remember on day 20, when Mom bought me a plant? Some really cute yellow flowers, right? Well, cute as they may be, they're secretly evil. I turned around a few days ago and it was wilted and limp and dead-looking. I watered it, and it perked right back up. And yesterday, the same thing. I keep the windows open to give it light, I water it when the soil gets dry, and I don't think I over-water it. But it always looks like it's dying! I've decided that it's more of an attention whore than Sophie is.
Speaking of Sophie, a bit of bad news... I was talking to Mom on the phone earlier, and she said that Daddy said that if she doesn't start behaving, she's gonna have to go back to Dallas. I imagine if it was day 23, I'd be more than happy to hand her over. But she's gotten better about not peeing on the carpet (knock on wood) and hasn't made any spots since Thursday night. Besides, I like the little fuzzball. She's a bit on the chubby side, and so am I, so I think we bond. Meh.
I tried to go to that bead shop in Bryan today. I got the Garmin out, looked up anything with the word 'bead' in it, and went off. I don't know what the store is called, so I just went with something in Bryan. The garmin took me to a trailer park. Le sigh.
So, I think I will spend the rest of the day doing what I've been doing all week: watching TV, making jewelry, and checking up on MLIA.

Maybe try wandering around downtown Bryan? It sounds like a bead place would be there...
ReplyDeleteAnd it makes me sad that Sophie might have to leave, but I guess it makes sense. :/
